Who the heck is Josh Bersin and why should I attend? Josh is the founder and CEO of Bersin & Associates, the highly prestigious and recognized leader in research focused solely on enterprise learning, talent management and talent acquisition. Josh is the internationally recognized expert on what is proven to work and how it does that.
Bersin research is worth literally thousands of dollars. You will have access to the findings on the latest research for $45 or less – and you get a great breakfast. You will also receive a copy of 40 Best Practices for an Empowered Enterprise.
I can’t imagine a more productive start to another year of learning.
Read on to learn even more. . .
Too often, practitioners automatically respond to learning needs with new content and programs – without consideration of the critical cultural practices which encourage people to learn. These efforts are destined to fall short -- Bersin & Associates research shows that a company’s learning culture has greater business impact than any other factor, including training budgets, the training organization structure, and training staff size.
Josh Bersin will present the key findings of the firm’s 2010 study, High-Impact Learning Culture: 40 Best Practices for an Empowered Enterprise. Analysts investigated more than 120 different strategies and behaviors in more than 400 companies, and found a set of 40 high-impact practices which clearly characterize what Bersin & Associates calls a “high-impact learning culture.” Josh will offer insight into employee empowerment (four of the top five practices fall into this category) and informal learning (most of the highest-impact practices are not associated with traditional, formal training). Attendees will learn about steps they can take to improve these practices and processes and to help strengthen culture in their organizations.
